This sounds like somewhat of a silly question, but you would be surprised at how many people are unsure of the right time to buy new tires, whether it is the best cheap tires or a nice set of touring tires. Do you know when the right time is?
Obviously, if you can see the cords showing through on your current set of tires, then you already know it’s time to get to the tire store… and fast. But other circumstances can lead to going out and buying a new set of tires as well. Perhaps you have a leak in the sidewall that simply can not be patched. Or maybe your tires are wearing too thin on the inside or the outside of the tire.
In cases like this, you’ll want to replace your tires as well as get your vehicle alignment done. The best tip here is to take the time to inspect your tires on a consistent monthly basis. Look for treadwear indicators that can show you the time has now come to replace those old tires.
